Be Free!

 

 Independence is the freedom of the soul, a perception of the mind and a feeling understood by the heart. The date 12th of June is very important for Filipinos. it was the luckiest day of year 1898, when Philippines became independent after lots of hard struggles and sacrifices or our heroes. By celebrating this event we commemorate those all great people who had sacrificed their lives and love ones in making Philippines, our country independent.

     On June 12, a lot of Filipino families spending their time going to parks, churches and places that would make them more comfortable and at the same time happy. Independence day serves us bonding because it is a national holiday so government offices are closed, we can do whatever we want, we are free. There are absolutely no classes in all schools. Government employees were joining the flag raising ceremony and sing the national anthem. We Filipinos celebrate Independence Day to bring gratitude to our heroes for all their sacrifices for our country.

     That is the reason why Independence Day is celebrated. It is the way to show your love to your fellow Filipinos. It is also the way of showing patriotic feelings you have for your nation. And I think Independence Day is great importance to any nation. Again, it was the day when Filipinos got freedom of expression, a nationality and a path that would lead to the development of one another.
